It has been a year since I had double eyelid surgery in South Korea. Time flies.
Since I am Asian living in the States, I thought double eyelid surgery was better in Asia than in the US, so I decided to look for plastic surgery in Asia. Among many of them, Korean plastic surgeons seemed to be the most popular in the world, so I decided to go to Korea for plastic surgery.
I have been looking for and preparing for a plastic surgery trip to Korea for a long time, and I did not even expect that South Korea was so safe. Their service was great too.
I grew up with small and sleepy eyes from a young age, I was never happy with them.
Looking at my friend who had double eyelid surgery in South Korea, I wanted more and more to have big and clear eyes, and as a result, I decided to go for double eyelid surgery.
I went through before and after photos and looked for reviews from many plastic surgery doctors, but I chose Dr. Kim because his results looked amazing.
I had double eyelid surgery by Dr. Kim Jong Min. Before the operation, he explained in detail how the operation would go, and listened to how I want to change my eyes. His manner seemed so sincere and gentle.
In fact, I was very nervous, but there were many patients, and some even looked like they had come for treatment after surgery. They made me feel relaxed and comfortable.
The operation lasted about 2 hours, I did not have much pain because I was under anesthesia, I felt heavy and tired, but that’s it. From the next day, I started taking the medicines and ointment they prescribed.
A couple of times I went to the hospital for treatment and removal of stitches. My doctor checked me out and said that the surgery went well, so I said I was grateful too.
If I was in Korea for a week, I could go through one last inspection with him and go back to the airport.
For a few weeks after the surgery, I had severely swollen eyes and awkwardness, but then they began to decrease when I massaged with an ice pack and took medication.
My face looked weird about a month after the operation, but then I saw beautiful double eyelids when the swelling disappeared.
90% of the swelling went down after 3 months, and after 6 months, I ended up with beautiful and natural eyes, and people didn’t even notice that I had surgery.
Now I even regret that I did not have the operation earlier, which made me so beautiful.
I am more than happy to meet an excellent doctor of plastic surgery and satisfied with the result.
